Microcredits

Microcredits are the smallest unit of Aleo's native currency. The conversion is straightforward:

1 credit = 1,000,000 microcredits

Every transaction fee, deployment cost, and credit transfer on-chain is denominated in microcredits. When using the SDK or CLI to estimate or pay fees, you work in microcredits - not whole credits.

If you pass 1 where the SDK expects microcredits, you are paying one millionth of a credit, not one credit. This is the single most common fee-related mistake in Aleo development.
